The knowledge of the absorption coefficient of a material is vital to the study of its behaviour faced with the incidence of a sound wave.
Through the evaluation of the absorption coefficient according to EN ISO 10534-2:2001, other physical properties of the materials can be obtained, such as the impedance, the porosity or the airflow resistance.
These properties allow to determine the suitability of a given material for a concrete absorption application in an air cavity as improvement of sound insulation or as a solution for a determined problem of room acoustical conditioning. In the same manner, through the optimisation of these properties, new products can be investigated, existent materials can be optimised by improving their acoustical characteristics or new applications can be founded for current systems.
In Acusttel, you will find the collaboration, the commitment and the technology necessary to the improvement of your products or the development of new acoustical applications. |
